Firipinjin in Osaka

I woke up at 3:30am thinking about a problem. How can I learn the Japanese language fast? Or what is the fastest way to learn Japanese?

Firipinjin in Osaka
I was pondering this problem in a wintry night because I was thinking that Tom Cruise was able to do it in the movie, The Last Samurai. Here was a foreigner who was able to learn the Japanese language rather fast during the time of his captivity. How was that possible without a teacher who was equally fluent in English?

Then, I thought to myself, "What if it was his immersion in the culture that made him very receptive to learn? What if I can put myself in a situation or a state of mind where I am likewise immersed in the Japanese culture?"

Hmm. This is interesting. But for now, hot soup will help me clear my mind.
